|

The HotShot™DM-1 is an innovative a combination microphone signal splitter and mute switch that allows the user to depress a foot switch to mute his mic and redirect the signal to the monitoring system or intercom for on-stage communication with band-mates and technicians.
Designed specifically for dynamic microphones, the DM-1 HotShot is a simple passive device that features an XLR input, momentary foot switch and two XLR outputs designated 'main' and 'monitor'. The microphone connects to the input and the main output connects to the sound system as usual. The monitor output is connected to the monitor desk where the monitor engineer can route the signal to the musicians on-stage monitoring systems and if desired, to the technical crew. Should a problem occur—a change of song during a set or a level that requires adjustment—the vocalist need merely depress his HotShot foot switch and he is now able to communicate this discreetly.
As with all Radial stage switchers, the HotShot DM1 is designed to take the abuses of the road with it's rugged 14-gauge steel construction, baked enamel finish, heavy-duty isolated XLR connectors and switch.

The Radial J48 is a great sounding active direct box that has been optimized to produce maximum headroom while working within the limited current available from standard 48V phantom power. By employing a unique switching power supply, the J48 is capable of peak transients to 9 volts without choking. The result is lower harmonic distortion, half the inter-modulation distortion and significantly improved dynamics over other DIs.
Features include a -15dB pad, 180º polarity reverse, a unique merge function to mix two signals to mono, an 80Hz high-pass rumble filter, and ground lift. Like all Radial products, the J48 is built to handle the abuse on the road and features a unique welded I-beam construction for years of trouble free performance.

Radial JDI

|

The Radial JDI is considered by many to be the world’s finest direct box. It is a passive DI that employs a Jensen isolation transformer for optimum audio performance offering outstanding linearity at all frequencies, combined with extraordinary level handling without introducing distortion. Being completely passive, the plug & play JDI does not require any powering and has the unique advantage of eliminating 60-cycle ground loops. This makes the JDI a definite favorite with informed audio engineers. The JDI is great for guitars, bass, and keyboards and is particularly adept with high-output, broadband instruments such as active instruments and digital keyboards. The JDI may be rack-mounted using the J-Rak and is also available in a stereo (2-channel) version called the JDI Duplex and the 6-channel rack-mountable JD6.

Radial JPC
|
|
|

The Radial JPC is a stereo direct box that has been specifically designed for use with computer sound cards and other consumer electronic products to allow these to be connected to a professional sound system. It is unique in that it combines the advantages of transformer-isolated inputs with an active drive circuit, giving you the best of both worlds in a compact and extremely flexible package.
Transformer coupled inputs have the unique advantage of isolating the source from the destination. This proven approach eliminates 60-cycle hum and buzz caused by so-called ground loops when two pieces of electrically powered devices are connected together. Because the active circuit does all of the impedance conversion and balancing, a dedicated 1:1 transformer can be used. This results in a hybrid design that is at once great sounding, compact and more affordable.
As with all great designs, simplicity is a fundamental trait and the Radial JPC certainly fits the bill. A choice of stereo , 1/8 and RCA input AND thru-put connectors make interfacing a snap with all types of equipment. A single switch inserts a 10dB pad, two power LEDs confirm 48V phantom is turned on, and a pair of XLR output connectors round out the feature set.
Of course like all Radial products, the JPC is built to handle any environment. The book-cover wrap-around sleeve design protects switches and connectors from damage while the 14 gauge steel I-beam construction eliminates stress that could torque the PC board and cause solder joint failure. A full-bottom no-slip pad provides electrical insulation and mechanical isolation with plenty of stay-put for use on hectic stages. And with its baked enamel finish, the Radial JPC will continue looking great for years!

Radial JS3

Our Price: $229.99

|

The Radial JS•2 and JS•3 are Jensen Transformer equipped mic splitters that allow a balanced source to drive multiple destinations via standard XLR connectors. These passive devices feature a premium nickel laminated core transformer for exceptionally low harmonic distortion without the usual phase shift caused by lesser steel core transformers.
The undisputed benefit of 100% transformer isolation provides better than -90dB common mode noise rejection (CMR), thus eliminating troublesome hum & buzz caused by stray voltage and ground loops. These ‘problem-solvers’ offer a simple yet highly effective interface for microphones or direct boxes, and with the addition of the -30dB pad, consumer and line level devices may be employed without distortion or fear of overload due to saturation.
The Radial JS•2 and JS•3 mic splitters feature a rugged 14-gauge steel construction for maximum durability. A unique book-end design creates a protective zone for switches and connectors against the harsh environment of concert touring. An internal welded I-beam skeleton houses the PC board, creating a virtually indestructible monocoque design that makes it impossible to torque the circuitboard. This eliminates stress on the solder points which can cause cold solder joints to develop. This innovative design also has the unique advantage of allowing up to 8 units to be rack-mounted using the Radial J-Rak. The J-Rak is a heavy-duty rack shelf that allows the splitters to span across a vertical array using only two 19” rack spaces.
The Radial JS•2 and JS•3 mic splitters are easy to use, flexible and sound great!

Radial ProAV1
|
Our Price: $109.99
|
|
|

The Radial ProAV1 and ProAV2 are passive direct boxes specifically developed with the audi-video integrator in mind. The ProAV1 features a variety of stereo inputs that are merged via a resistive mixer to mono, greatly simplifying signal management and the ProAV2 has full two-channel stereo functionality.
To eliminate the need for various adaptor, a 'Swiss Army' array of connections are provided. including 1/4" for instruments, RCA and 1/8" connectors for consumer electronics and computers and a +4dB XLR input(s) for professional systems. Front panel connectors can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points.
Custom wound transformers are employed that are able to withstand exceptionally hot levels while maintaining linearity from 20Hz to 18.5kHz. The resulting smooth Bessel curve is warm and natural, making the AV1 particularly adept at handling digital sources that can sound harsh. Transformer isolation adds the benefit of eliminating ground loops that cause audio hum and buzz and video hum bars or snow.
The ProAV1 is ideal for events that interlace audio with video where music sources can include iPods, CD players and video decks. The ProAV2 stereo version trades some of the connectivity features for it's full dual-channel stereo operation. Both ProAV1 and ProAV2 will be welcome additions to the AV technician's tool box.
